Breakaway Community Services stands in solidarity and anger in the wake of the recent news of the remains of 215 Indigenous children found at a Residential school in Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc.
We express our deepest sorrow to the families and communities that have had to grieve losses like these for years as a result of the systemic genocide of Indigenous people in this country.
Breakaway Community Services is committed to truth and reconciliation, championing unlearning the framed histories we’ve been taught and learning the truth of this genocide.
We are all responsible for reconciliation and denouncing racism and prejudice of all forms.
