Breakaway is a dynamic multifunction substance use treatment agency that provides a range of high-quality outpatient and outreach programs for the residents of Toronto. We strive to make our programs fully accessible to all community members, particularly those who frequently encounter barriers to traditional services.
From its inception in 1989, Breakaway Community Service has demonstrated a strong capacity for continuously adapting to emerging challenges. It has done this by adding to its own broad range of treatment programs for clients and by forging strong service partnerships across the mental health and addictions sectors to facilitate additional access to supports for them. Besides our office-based programs, we have effectively mobilized our resources to be active and present in delivering services for clients within the community, in schools, community centers, shelters, and supportive housing.
