August 31, 2023 is International Overdose Awareness Day, the the world’s largest campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died from overdose, and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.
This Thursday, August 31 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM, Breakaway Community Services, the Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention, and Unison Health and Community Services will be hosting a community event to recognize International Overdose Awareness Day. We will be gathering at Dufferin Grove Park, by the South Fire Pit. Offerings include:
- NADA Acudetox Seeds
- Herbal Supports
- Memorial Crafts
- Harm Reduction Information and Supplies
- Community Engagement with Peer Supports
- Space to Remember Loved Ones
